In a significant move to simplify and modernise the admission process, the Maharashtra Education Department has officially launched a dedicated online portal for Class 11 (First-Year Junior College) admissions. This digital platform is designed to make the transition from Class 10 to higher secondary education more seamless, transparent, and accessible for students across the state.

Starting May 19, 2025, students who have completed their SSC (Class 10) exams can begin registering through the portal. This marks a critical step in ensuring that the admission process is more organised, efficient, and student-friendly, reducing the traditional chaos and uncertainty that often surrounds junior college admissions.

Why This Matters

Every year, thousands of students in Maharashtra compete for seats in junior colleges across various streams — Science, Commerce, Arts, and vocational courses. Until recently, this process involved physical forms, multiple visits to colleges, and long queues. The new portal aims to eliminate these hurdles by bringing the entire process online, offering a single-window system where students can:

Admission Process for MCA and MBA/MMS Programs 2024-2025

The admission schedule for the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Management (MBA/MMS) programs for the academic year 2024-2025 has been released. The process will be conducted in multiple rounds, giving students several opportunities to secure their seats in the desired institutions. Below are the details for each program:

CAP Round-I:

MCA:
- Display of Provisional Allotment: 13th August 2024
- Acceptance of Seat: 14th to 17th August 2024 (up to 03:00 PM)
- Reporting to Allotted Institute: 14th to 17th August 2024 (up to 05:00 PM)
MBA/MMS:
- Display of Provisional Allotment: 14th August 2024
- Acceptance of Seat: 16th to 18th August 2024 (up to 03:00 PM)
- Reporting to Allotted Institute: 16th to 18th August 2024 (up to 05:00 PM)

In this first round, candidates must verify their allotment, pay the seat acceptance fee, and report to their respective institutes with all necessary documents. Those wishing for betterment can opt for "Not Freeze" and participate in subsequent rounds.

CAP Round-II:

MCA:
- Display of Provisional Vacant Seats: 18th August 2024
- Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form: 19th to 21st August 2024
- Display of Provisional Allotment: 23rd August 2024
- Acceptance of Seat: 24th to 26th August 2024 (up to 03:00 PM)

MBA/MMS:

Candidates who missed out in the first round or opted for betterment have another opportunity to secure their desired seat in the second round.

This final round gives candidates a last chance to secure a seat before the Post-CAP process begins.

The Post-CAP rounds are for candidates who could not secure a seat in the initial rounds or those looking for available seats in their preferred institutes.

RTE Admission - RTE प्रवेशाला मुदतवाढ नाही

अतिवृष्टीचा फटका आरटीई प्रवेशाला बसल्याने गुरुवारपर्यंत त्याला मुदतवाढ देण्यात आली होती. प्रवेशासाठी मुदतवाढ देण्यात आली नाही. यामुळे ३ हजार ४४४ जागा रिक्त आहेत.

यावर्षी सुरुवातीपासूनच आरटीई प्रवेशाचा घोळ सुरू झाला. हे प्रकरण न्यायालयात गेल्यानंतर प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरू झाली. मात्र, अतिवृष्टी आणि इतर कारणांमुळे प्रवेश होऊ शकले नाही. दरम्यान न्यायालयाने आदेश दिल्यानंतर १ ऑगस्टपासून प्रवेश प्रक्रियेला प्रारंभ झाला.

प्रवेशापासून विद्यार्थी वंचित राहू नये म्हणून ८ ऑगस्टपर्यंत प्रवेशाला मुदतवाढ देण्यात आली होती. यासाठी शहरासह जिल्ह्यातील ६५४ शाळांचा समावेश आहे. यंदा ६ हजार ९१८ जागा आहेत. प्रवेशासाठी २० हजार ३४३ ऑनलाइन अर्ज आले होते.

त्यातील ६ हजार ६४८ अर्जाची निवड करण्यात आली होती. त्यापैकी ३ हजार ४७६ जागांवर प्रवेश निश्चित करण्यात आला आहे. तर ३ हजार ४४२ जागा रिक्त आहेत. शिक्षण हक्क कायद्यांतर्गत खासगी शाळांमध्ये २५ टक्के जागांवर वंचित व दुर्बल घटकातील बालकांना प्रवेश दिला जातो.

बालकांचा मोफत व सक्तीच्या शिक्षणाचा अधिकार अधिनियम २००९ मधील कलम १२ सी (१) अनुसार दुर्बल, वंचित, आर्थिक सामाजिकदृष्ट्या मागास घटकांतील बालकांना २५ टक्के जागांवर इंग्रजी व विनाअनुदानित शाळेत प्रवेश दिला जातो.

IIT-Delhi launches BTech in Design

IIT Delhi new course: This is a four-year long programme which has 20 limited seats per batch.

The Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) today launched a new four-year undergraduate programme ‘BTech in Design’ from the academic year 2025–26. This is a four-year long programme which has 20 limited seats per batch.

Admission to the BTech in Design programme in IIT Delhi will be based on JEE Advanced rankings. However, aspirants will also have to qualify in the design aptitude test, UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design).

This is a transdisciplinary programme of combining the strengths of technology and design. The aim of the programme is to promote a “unique combination of learning processes namely systematic discovery and understanding as engineering education does and exploration of individualistic and creative leaps as design education does,” the official notification stated.

Additionally, the programme would offer courses, with about half of the courses belonging to the core discipline of design and the rest coming from other departments, centers, and schools (similar to the other BTech programmes). The curricula has been designed in a way that it will encourage students to collaborate and form partnerships between the design department and other departments/centers/schools.

“Our expectation is that after graduating from IIT Delhi with a BTech in Design degree, the students will take up, in the long run, leadership positions in industry, academia, government, consulting, and entrepreneurship. The program offers enough choices and freedom for the students to exercise diverse career paths,” said Prof. Jyoti Kumar, HoD, Department of Design.

“As the proposed curriculum is geared to prepare students for leadership positions, it is broad-based and analogous to the existing programmes at IIT Delhi. The approach of the Institute would be to create new leaders in design who can see the big picture as generalists and have the ability to go into details as a design specialist does,” Prof. Kumar added.

‘आरटीई’साठी कागदपत्रांची उद्यापासून होणार पडताळणी

सांगली :पात्र ठरलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांच्या कागदपत्रांची पडताळणी मंगळवारपासून (ता. २३) सुरू होत आहे. त्याबाबत पालकांना आजपासून (ता. २२) मेसेज पाठवले जाणार आहेत, अशी माहिती प्राथमिक शिक्षणाधिकारी मोहन गायकवाड यांनी दिली.

जिल्ह्यात सन २०२४-२५ साठी आरटीई अंतर्गत प्रवेशासाठी लॉटरीद्वारे १३४९ विद्यार्थी पात्र ठरले आहेत. त्यांच्या पालकांना सोमवारपासून (ता. २२) कागदपत्र पडताळणीसाठी मेसेज पाठवले जाणार आहेत. तर २३ ते ३१ जुलैअखेर पडताळणी समितीकडून कागदपत्र पडताळणी केली जाणार आहे. त्यानंतर पात्र विद्यार्थ्यांचे प्रवेश निश्चित केले जाणार आहेत.

शिक्षणाधिकारी गायकवाड यांनी सांगितले की, प्रवेश पात्र बालकाच्या पालकांनी अर्ज भरताना जी कागदपत्रे नोंदविली आहेत, त्यांच्या मूळ प्रती व साक्षांकित प्रती घेऊन पडताळणीसाठी जावे. अलॉटमेंट लेटरची प्रिंट आणि आरटीई पोर्टलवर असलेली हमी पत्राची प्रिंटही सोबत घेऊन जावी. प्रवेश ऑनलाईन निश्चित करावा आणि त्याची रिसीट पडताळणी समितीकडून घेणे आवश्यक आहे.

आरटीई प्रवेश पात्र बालकांच्या पालकांना त्यांच्या मोबाईलवर एसएमएस प्राप्त होतील. परंतु, पालकांनी फक्त एसएमएसवर अवलंबून न राहता आरटीई पोर्टलवरील अर्जाची स्थिती या टॅबवर आपला अर्ज क्रमांक लिहून लॉटरी लागली अथवा नाही याची खात्री करावी, असे आवाहन शिक्षणाधिकारी श्री. गायकवाड यांनी केले.

प्रतीक्षा यादीतील विद्यार्थ्यांनी अर्जाची स्थिती या टॅबवर अर्ज क्रमांक लिहून प्रतीक्षा यादीतील आपला नंबर पाहावा. निवड यादीतील प्रवेशाची मुदत संपल्यानंतर प्रतीक्षा यादीतील विद्यार्थ्यांना एसएमएस पाठवले जाणार आहेत.

MAH LLB 5-Year CAP 2024 Final Merit List Released

MAH LLB 5-Year CAP Final Merit List 2024: The state Common Entrance Test cell in Maharashtra has announced the final merit list for the first round of the MAH LLB 5-year Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024. Applicants who have enrolled for the counselling can view the category-specific merit lists on the official website, llb5cap24.mahacet.org.

The CET cell has issued the merit list for applicants from Maharashtra State (MS), Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), Ex-Servicemen, and Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) categories. A list of candidates who were not included in the final merit list has been made available, along with the reasons for rejection.

The final merit list PDF includes the application ID, the applicant's name, gender, date of birth, category, candidacy type, CET percentile, Class 10 and Class 12 scores, remarks, and eligibility.

According to the counselling timetable, the college option form-filling facility for the first and second rounds will commence on July 22, and the round 1 seat allotment result will be announced on July 29.

MAH LLB 5-year Counselling 2024: How to download the final merit list?

Applicants can download the final merit list for their respective categories by following the instructions outlined below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CET at llb5cap24.mahacet.org.

Step 2: On the homepage under the notification section, click on the merit list link.

Step 3: After this, a PDF will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Now, candidates can find their roll number and save the same for further reference.

Hyderabad University opens spot round admission for MTech courses

University of Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad has proposed to conduct a spot round admissions for their MTech courses. Candidates who have qualified the GATE exam are eligible to apply.

The University of Hyderabad has opened the admissions for the following MTech courses: Bioinformatics, Materials Engineering, Nano Science and Technology, Manufacturing Science and Engineering, Integrated Circuit Technology and Microelectronics and VSLI Design.

The MTech program in Bioinformatics has a total of 17 seats. These seats are distributed as follows: 3 seats for the General category, 4 seats for SC, 2 seats for ST, 5 seats for OBC, and 2 seats for EWS and 2 seats for the physically handicapped. Similarly, Materials Engineering and Nano Science and Technology have a total 18 seats while Manufacturing Science and Engineering, Integrated Circuit Technology and Microelectronics and VSLI Design have 18, 15 and 3 seats respectively.

University of Hyderabad: Documents for spot round

The candidates who intend to come for the reporting are instructed to bring the originals well as a photocopy of the following documents:

– Class 10 marksheet of candidates seeking admission

– Class 12 marksheet of the applicants

– BTech, BE, MSc or any other qualifying graduation marksheet (provisional)

– Reservation category certificate such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD certificate (if applicable)

– The valid GATE scorecard of the candidate

The candidates are also advised to visit the official website – acad.uohyd.ac.in to know more about the courses offered, eligibility criteria, the payment of fees and the reservation policy of the university.

It is important to note that only the candidates who have a valid scorecard of GATE must report for the spot round admissions.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 3 Result 2024: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board issued the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 3 result 2024 today, July 16. Students who took the exams can get the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam 3 results 2024 from the official website, karresults.nic.in.

Applicants can obtain the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam 3 results 2024 using their login details, which include their registration number and date of birth.

The Karnataka 2nd PUC examination 3 took place from June 24 to July 5, 2024, at different exam centres throughout the state. On all days, the Karnataka 2nd PUC test 3 was held in two shifts: 10:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Those who completed Karnataka's 2nd PUC exam 1 or 2 and wanted to raise their grades were allowed to apply for the 2nd PUC exam 3. Aspirants who enrolled for exam 1 but did not sit for either exam 1 or exam 2 were eligible to take exam 3.

The Karnataka 2nd PUC supply exams have been withdrawn, and students will now have three opportunities to sit the final exam. The Karnataka PUC 2 supplementary exam results were declared on May 21, 2024.

महापालिका क्षेत्रातील कनिष्ठ महाविद्यालयांमध्ये राबवण्यात येत असलेल्या इयत्ता अकरावी प्रवेशाच्या ऑनलाइन केंद्रीभूत प्रक्रियेसाठी नोंदणी प्रक्रियेला वेग आला आहे. दुसऱ्या फेरीतील पात्र विद्यार्थ्यांची निवड (कट ऑफ) यादी बुधवारी (दि. १०) प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आली.

शहरातील ६८ कनिष्ठ महाविद्यालयांमध्ये केंद्रीभूत प्रवेश प्रक्रियेंतर्गत शैक्षणिक वर्ष २०२४-२५ साठी अकरावी प्रवेश प्रक्रिया राबविली जात आहे. पहिल्या फेरीसाठी 'विज्ञान'चा ९३, 'वाणिज्य'चा ९३, तर कला शाखेसाठी ८८ टक्के 'कट ऑफ' होता. पहिल्या फेरीत सहा हजार ७९ विद्यार्थ्यांनी प्रवेश निश्चित केले. या फेरीसाठी १० हजार ८३१ जागांचे वाटप करण्यात आले हाेते. त्यापैकी चार हजार ७५२ जागा रिक्त राहिल्या. एकूण रिक्त असलेल्या १७ हजार १२४ जागांसाठी बुधवार (दि. १०)पासून प्रवेश प्रक्रियेला प्रारंभ झाला. याअंतर्गत विद्यार्थ्यांना ३ ते ६ जुलैदरम्यान पसंतीक्रम भरण्याची मुदत देण्यात आली होती. ७ ते ९ जुलै दरम्यान अर्जाची छाननी करुन दुसऱ्या फेरीसाठी पात्र विद्यार्थ्यांची यादी जाहीर करण्यात आली. दरम्यान, पहिल्या यादीत पहिल्या पसंतीक्रमाचे कनिष्ठ महाविद्यालय मिळवूनही प्रवेश न घेतलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना या प्रवेशफेरीमध्ये सहभागी होता होणार नाही.

दुसऱ्या यादीतील पात्र विद्यार्थ्यांना शुक्रवार (दि. १२) पर्यंत संंबंधित महाविद्यालयात प्रवेश घेता येणार आहे. केटीएचएम कॉलेजमध्ये विज्ञान प्रवेशासाठी ओपन (जनरल) श्रेणीत दुसऱ्या 'कट अॉफ' नुसार अनुक्रमे ८८, ८६.६ आणि ७९.६ टक्के असलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना प्रवेश मिळणार आहे. गोखले एज्युकेशन संस्थेच्या एचपीटी आर्ट आणि आरवायके सायन्स महाविद्यालयात याच श्रेणीत ९२.४ आणि ८६.० इतकी 'कट अॉफ' जाहीर झाली. केव्हीएन नाईन महाविद्यालयात पहिल्या यादीनुसार ८४.४, ८०.६ इतके टक्के गुण असणाऱ्यांना विज्ञान शाखेत प्रवेश मिळणार आहे.

११ जुलै ते १८ जुलैदरम्यान बहुतांश सर्व अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरू होणार

राज्य सामायिक प्रवेश परीक्षा कक्ष अर्थात सीईटीसेलतर्फे काही व्यावसायिक अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रियेला सुरुवात करण्यात आली आहे. एमसीए, पाच वर्षे एलएलबी अभ्यासक्रमाची प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरू झाली असून, उर्वरित अभ्यासक्रमाच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रियेचे सुधारित वेळापत्रक प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आले आहे. त्यानुसार ११ जुलै ते १८ जुलै या कालावधीमध्ये बहुतांश सर्व अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरू होणार आहेत. त्यात इंजिनिअरिंग अभ्यासक्रमाची प्रवेश प्रक्रिया येत्या १४ जुलैपासून सुरू होणार आहे. सीईटी सेलच्या माध्यमातून एमसीए, पाच वर्षे एलएलबी अभ्यासक्रमाची प्रवेश प्रक्रिया नुकतीच सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. आता येत्या ११ जुलैपासून हॉटेल मॅनेजमेंट, १२ जुलैपासून एमबीए व बी. फार्मसी, तर अनुक्रमे १५ व १६ जुलैपासून डायरेक्ट सेकंड इअर इंजिनिअरिंग व फार्मसी अभ्यासक्रमाची प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरू होणार आहे. उच्च शिक्षण विभागांतर्गत राबविल्या जाणाऱ्या तीन वर्षे एलएलबी अभ्यासक्रम व बीएड, एमएड, बीपी एड, एमएड अभ्यासक्रमांची प्रवेश प्रक्रिया ११ ते १३ जुलै या कालावधीत सुरू केली जाणार आहे, असे सीईटी सेलतर्फे परिपत्रकाद्वारे प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आले आहे.

अकरावी प्रवेशाची दुसरी गुणवत्ता यादी

पुणे : अकरावी प्रवेशाच्या दुसर्‍या फेरीची गुणवत्ता यादी आज (दि.3) सकाळी 10 वाजता जाहीर करण्यात येणार आहे. तर प्रवेश जाहीर झालेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना 5 जुलैपर्यंत महाविद्यालयांमध्ये जाऊन प्रवेश घेता येणार आहे. अकरावीच्या ऑनलाइन प्रवेश प्रक्रियेतील दुसर्‍या फेरीचे कोटा तसेच कॅपचे वेळापत्रक जाहीर करण्यात आले होते. त्यानुसार 27 ते 29 जूनदरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांना पहिल्या भागात दुरुस्ती करण्याबरोबरच पसंतीक्रम भरण्याची संधी देण्यात आली होती.

तर 3 जुलै रोजी गुणवत्ता यादी जाहीर करण्यात येऊन 5 जुलैपर्यंत विद्यार्थ्यांना प्रवेश घेता येणार आहे. दरम्यान, 5 जुलैपर्यंत कोटाअंतर्गत प्रवेशदेखील होणार असल्याचे माध्यमिक व उच्च माध्यमिक शिक्षण संचालनालयाने जाहीर केले आहे. पुणे आणि पिंपरी-चिंचवड शहरात अकरावी प्रवेशाठी 324 महाविद्यालयांत 89 हजार 394 कॅपच्या तसेच 24 हजार 956 कोटा प्रवेशाच्या अशा एकूण 1 लाख 14 हजार 350 जागा उपलब्ध आहेत.

त्यापैकी पहिल्या फेरीत कोटा आणि कॅप मिळून 27 हजार 255 जागांवर विद्यार्थ्यांनी प्रवेश घेतला आहे. तर प्रवेशासाठी 87 हजार 95 जागा उपलब्ध आहेत. पहिल्या फेरीत नामांकित महाविद्यालयांचे कटऑफ नव्वदीपार असल्यामुळे विद्यार्थी आणि पालक दुसर्‍या फेरीची वाट पाहात होते. आता दुसर्‍या फेरीची गुणवत्ता यादी जाहीर झाल्यानंतर कटऑफमध्ये नेमका काय बदल होतो यावरच विद्यार्थ्यांच्या प्रवेशाची वाटचाल ठरणार आहे.

मुंबई : राज्य सामाईक प्रवेश परीक्षा कक्षातर्फे (सीईटी कक्ष) एमई, एम.

टेक आणि एम. आर्क या व्यावसायिक अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रियेचे वेळापत्रक जाहीर केले. सीईटी सेलने हे प्रवेश मंगळवारपासून प्रवेश प्रक्रिया सुरू झाली असून विद्यार्थ्यांना प्रवेश परीक्षेसाठी १७ जुलैपर्यंत अर्ज करता येणार आहे. एम. ई आणि एम.टेक या अभ्यासक्रमांसाठी मे महिन्यात सीईटी झाली होती. तर एम. आर्कसाठी परीक्षेसाठी ९३९ विद्यार्थ्यांनी नोंदणी केली होती, यातील ८४० विद्यार्थ्यांनी परीक्षा दिली होती. या तिन्ही अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेश प्रक्रियेला सुरुवात झाली आहे. या प्रवेश प्रक्रियेसाठी कागदपत्रांची पडताळणी १० ते १८ जुलैदरम्यान होणार आहे. तसेच एम.ई अभ्यासक्रमाची अंतरिम गुणवत्ता यादी २० जुलै तर एम. टेक आणि एम. आर्क २३ जुलै रोजी जाहीर होणार आहे. यावर २३ जुलैपर्यंत विद्यार्थ्यांना हरकती नोंदवता येणार आहे. तर, अंतिम यादी २५ जुलै रोजी जाहीर होणार आहे.
