SSC GD Constable 2023: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the final results of the General Duty (GD) constable exam for Manipur applicants. Applicants who took the recruitment exam will be able to view and download the SSC GD constable 2023 final results on the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in.

The latest day for checking and downloading the SSC GD constable 2023 final marks is August 8. To download the SSC GD constable 2023 final scorecard, students must log in with their registration number and password.

On March 21, 2024, the Commission announced the final results of the GD Constable in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), rifleman (GD) in Assam rifles, and sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau examinations, 2023 for the State of Manipur.

The results were originally intended to be revealed on August 20, 2023, but due to the law-and-order situation in Manipur, the physical and medical testing could not be completed. As a result, the outcome for the Manipur state, which has 597 vacancies, could not be declared on that date.

“Candidates may check their individual marks by using their registration number and registered password and clicking on the result, marks section on the candidate dashboard on the home page of the old website of the commission, ssc.nic.in. The candidates may take a printout of their marks as this facility will be available for a period from 25.07.2024 to 08.08.2024 only,” the official notice read.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency will conduct a retest for CUET-UG candidates from July 15 to 19 if any grievance raised by them about the conduct of the exam is found correct, officials said on Sunday. The NTA also announced the answer key for the undergraduate entrance exam, paving the way for the announcement of the results, albeit delayed.

"The candidates can submit their challenges for the answer key by 6 pm on July 9," a senior NTA official said.
"The NTA is also addressing public grievances regarding the exam conducted for CUET-UG that were received up to June 30. If a grievance is found genuine, the NTA is committed to redoing the exam for these candidates at selected centres any day between July 15 and 19," the official added.
While the NTA officials did not comment on the grievances received by the agency, candidates claimed there was loss of time at certain exam centres and technical issues.

"Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts. Based on the revised final answer key, the result will be declared," the official said.
The delay in CUET-UG results comes amid a raging row over alleged irregularities in competitive exams, including NEET and NET.
The CUET-UG exam conducted in a hybrid mode for the first time across the country was cancelled in Delhi a night before the exam, citing logistical reasons. The exam was conducted in the national capital later.

The NTA had earlier announced that the third edition of CUET-UG will be completed in seven days and there will be no normalisation of scores as all exams will be conducted in a single shift.
For 15 subjects, the tests were in pen-paper mode and for the other 48 subjects, the exam was held in computer-based mode.
Over 13.4 lakh candidates registered for the common entrance test for admission to undergraduate courses in 261 central, state, deemed and private universities this year.
In the first edition of the exam in 2022, the test was plagued by technical glitches. Also, as a result of tests for a subject being conducted over multiple shifts, the scores had to be normalised during the announcement of results.
In the line of fire over alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam NEET and the PhD entrance NET, the Centre removed NTA Director General Subodh Singh last week and notified a high-level panel headed by former Indian Space Research Organisation chief R Radhakrishnan to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examinations through the NTA.
While the NEET is under the scanner over several irregularities, including an alleged paper leak, the UGC-NET was cancelled as the education ministry received inputs that the integrity of the exam was compromised. Both matters are being probed by the CBI.

UPSC CMS Admit Card 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the admit card for the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination (UPSC CMS) 2024 on July 5. Students who have signed up for the exam will be eligible to download the UPSC CMS admit card 2024 from the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

To download the UPSC CMS admit card 2024, candidates must provide their login credentials, such as registration number or roll number. The admit card download window will be available until the exam date. Applicants must carry valid government-issued ID evidence, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID card, PAN card, or passport, to the exam centre along with their admit card.

The UPSC CMS 2024 exam is set for July 14 in two shifts. The morning shift runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., and the afternoon shift runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The recruiting effort intends to fill a total of 827 medical professionals across several government ministries.

According to the official announcement, from July 15 to July 21, applicants will be able to submit their representations regarding questions in the examination papers via the UPSC website's "Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)" till 6 p.m.

“It may also be noted that entry into the examination venue shall be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination i.e. 9 am for the forenoon session and 1:30 pm for the afternoon session. No candidate shall be allowed entry into the examination venue after closure of the entry,” the official notice read.

How to download the UPSC CMS Admit Card 2024?

To download the UPSC CMS admit card 2024, applicants can follow the methods outlined below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: After this, on the homepage under the 'What's new' tab, click on the "Download e-admit card for UPSC CMS exam 2024."

Step 3: Read all the instructions carefully and then proceed to download the admit card.

Step 4: Now, candidates have to login by using the information such as registration number and roll number.

Step 5: The UPSC CMS admit card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Download the UPSC CMS admit card 2024 and take a printout of the same for further reference.

UPSC IAS 2024 Exam: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the civil services examination preliminary (CSE Prelims 2024) tomorrow, June 16, in two shifts. UPSC prelims 2024 first shift test will be conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for general studies paper 1 and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for general studies paper 2 (CSAT). Both papers 1 and 2 will include objective-type questions. Paper 1 will have 100 questions, and paper 2 will have 80 questions, both worth 200 points each.

The UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024 was made available on June 7, 2024, and applicants can get it from the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. The IAS exam will take place offline at 79 exam centres.

Applicants must bring all necessary documentation to the exam hall. This consists of the UPSC CSE admit card 2024, two passport-size pictures, and an appropriate government-issued photo ID, such as an original Aadhaar card, driver's license, voter identification card, PAN card, passport, or any other photo ID proof.

UPSC IAS Prelims 2024: Exam day guidelines

- Applicants should bring a printout of their UPSC IAS 2024 e-admit cards and double-check it for accuracy.

- It should be understood that any errors in filling out the OMR sheet, particularly concerning the roll number and test booklet series code, would result in the rejection of the UPSC prelims 2024 answer sheet.

- Aspirants ought to be at the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the reporting time to minimize last-minute hassles.

• Applicants are not permitted to bring personal belongings or electronics inside the examination hall. If these devices or things are discovered, their candidacy will be revoked.

Students preparing for defence exams such as NDA,CDS, AFCAT, MNS and SSB Interview often undergo stress. Feeling stressed is a natural process and in a literal manner, it evokes a sense of motivation within us to persevere for our goals. Everyone experiences stress. But in a fast-paced competitive world, students are the most affected ones who often get overwhelmed with physical, emotional, and psychological strains. It is completely natural for defence aspirants to experience stress. It indicates that they are putting in extra effort to achieve something they want or trying to cope with a difficult situation. There can be various reasons for a student being stressed. Anticipating outcomes, lacking concentration, and overthinking are major factors contributing to stress.

Stress management strategies for students preparing for defence exams like NDA, CDS, MNS, AFCAT.

Research shows that overly stressed students are more likely to develop low immunity and weaken their cognitive and emotional functioning. In fact, prolonged stress can even lead to other mental illnesses like depression. In such cases, adhering to stress management strategies can help overcome stress and lead a balanced life. During my SSB Interview sessions at Centurion Defence Academy, I counsel my students and teach them to follow the below strategies to prevail over stress. These stress management tips may take time to develop but they are helpful in the long run.

5. ⁠TRUST THE PROCESS (REMEMBER THAT THE RESULT IS NOT IN YOUR HAND BUT KARMA IS IN YOUR HAND)

1. Engage in creative hobbies and interests:

When studying for a long time, you may feel overburdened. It's important to take breaks and engage in activities that you enjoy. You can take up some creative hobbies like painting, writing, playing a musical instrument, or even gardening to relax your mind and body. Here effective time management skills become imperative to make the best use of your leisure time. For a defence aspirant aiming to become an officer in the Indian Armed Forces, hobbies and interests are part of the questioning during the personal interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Hence, these activities are not only helpful in stress management but also in getting ready for the SSB interview.

2. Spiritual growth:

Engaging in practices that promote spiritual growth, such as meditation, yoga, or mindfulness, can be beneficial for managing stress. Spiritual growth is not merely confined to developing a closer relationship with God. It is a gradual process of developing self-identity, recognizing your purpose in life, connecting with your inner self and finding peace. When you practice spiritual growth, you become more conscious of learning who you are and how much potential you have. These practices shed light on what's most meaningful in your life. This way, you can develop goal clarity, focus less on the non-essential things and do away with stress.

3. Goal clarity:

It's essential to have clear goals and a sense of purpose when preparing for defence exams. Knowing what you're working towards can help you stay motivated and focused. Take the time to clarify your goals and know what you want and why you want it. Having a clear roadmap will help minimize uncertainty and ambiguity, reduce stress and increase your chances of success. Goal clarity also helps overcome constant questioning and doubt and boosts your confidence.

4. Decluttering the mind:

Decluttering the mind means getting rid of a disordered, unpleasant and complicated state. In simple words, it is a process of clearing your mind of extraneous and overwhelming thoughts, anticipations, distractions and worries. It's about filtering your thoughts to create a sense of calm and clarity in your mind. A cluttered mind can make it difficult to concentrate on goals and increase feelings of stress and anxiety. To declutter your mind, try practicing mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing to eliminate negative thoughts and worries. Following this process, you can approach your defence exam preparation with a clear and focused mind.

5. Trust the process:

It's important to trust in yourself and the process of preparation. Understand that while you can control your efforts and actions, you can't always control the outcome. Focus on doing your best in the present moment and trust that your hard work will pay off in the long run. Always keep in mind that setbacks and failures are a natural part of your exam preparation journey. Thus, you should have the adeptness to use them as opportunities for growth and learning. By giving up excessive worry about the outcome, concentrating your energy on the present moment, and trusting in the process, you can overcome stress and achieve success.
