MHT CET PCB 2025: 14 Hit 100!

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) Cell has officially announced the MHT CET 2025 results for the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group on June 17, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam, conducted from April 9 to 17, can now access their scorecards on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. Out of 301,072 registered candidates, around 282,734 students actually appeared, marking an impressive participation rate of over 93%.

The MHT CET exam for the PCB group consisted of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), held in online mode. It carried a total of 100 marks with no negative marking, making it a preferred option for students aiming for courses in pharmacy, agriculture, biotechnology, and other life sciences. To check their results, students need to visit the official portal, click on the MHT CET 2025 PCB result link, and log in using their application number and password or date of birth.

This year saw 14 students achieving a perfect 100 percentile in the PCB stream. Notable performers include students from Mumbai, Pune, and Vidarbha. From Mumbai, Anshika Shah from Charni Road secured 163 out of 200 and was among the city’s four toppers. In Pune, Shreya Yadav and Siddhi Bade also earned 100 percentiles, while Snehal Diwate topped the ST category with a 99.97 percentile. From Vidarbha, Bhakti Men from Akola emerged as the region's only 100-percentiler. Interestingly, many of these toppers were also preparing for NEET and used MHT CET as a backup plan, yet their focused preparation, consistent study habits, and clarity of concepts led to excellent outcomes.

Next, students can expect the MHT CET counselling process to begin shortly, where they’ll apply for admissions into various undergraduate programs. Details regarding registration dates, document verification, and choice filling will be made available soon on the official website.

ज्ञानार्जनाची प्रक्रिया सुलभ करण्यासाठी ‘प्रथम बुक्स’तर्फे जिल्ह्यातील दोन हजार १०० शाळांमध्ये स्टेम ग्रंथालये स्थापन करण्यात येणार आहेत. प्रत्येक ग्रंथालयामध्ये मुलांसाठी खास निवड केलेली १०० सचित्र पुस्तके असतील. मंगळवारी (ता. १६) ग्रंथालयांतील पुस्तकांच्या वाटपाचा सोहळा जिल्हा परिषद सीईओ विकास मीना यांच्या उपस्थितीत पार पडला.

यावेळी हिमांशू गिरी, अविनाश रावत, व्यंकट सुधाकर, डॉ. सुनीता राठोड, संजयसिंग, रेश्मा अग्रवाल, प्राचार्या देशमुख, अविनाश रावत, उपशिक्षणाधिकारी नीता श्रीश्रीमाळ व गीता तांदळे यांची उपस्थिती होती. ‘‘विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये शोध घेण्याची मनोवृत्ती वाढविण्यासाठी या ग्रंथालयाची रचना करण्यात आली आहे. या पुस्तकांमध्ये विज्ञान, गणित विषयांवरील विविध विषयांचा समावेश असलेल्या गोष्टी आहेत;

तसेच सोपी यंत्रे, अपूर्णांक, वनस्पतींचे जीवनचक्र यांची सुलभ पद्धतीने मांडणी आणि सुंदर चित्रे मुलांना गुंतवून ठेवतील. त्यामुळे ती स्टेम शिक्षणात परिवर्तन

घडवून आणण्याची महत्त्वाची भूमिका बजावू शकतात’’, असे हिमांशू गिरी म्हणाले.

या पाठ्यपुस्तक वितरणाच्या कार्यक्रमाचे नियोजन प्रथम बुक्सचे रविराज, विस्ताराधिकारी संगीता सावळे, सहायक कार्यक्रम अधिकारी डॉ. सोज्वल जैन यांनी केले. प्रवीण लोहाडे यांनी सूत्रसंचालन केले.

How Delhi University Professors Can Apply For Promotion Under New Rule?

Delhi University Teachers: Many Delhi University teachers can now be promoted following the 2018 Act's revision governing the University Grants Commission's (UGC) hiring of teachers. Teachers may apply for promotion under the 2010 guidelines if they were not granted one under the 2018 Act.

Teachers with PhDs earned after 2021 will also fall under this category. Promotion from Assistant Professor to Levels 11 and 12, and Associate Professor to Level 13, did not require a PhD under the 2010 UGC regulations. As a result of publishing papers and passing the NET, they were promoted. Their point table was examined in addition to this.

Promotion rules changed in 2018

A PhD was now required to become an associate professor, according to a 2018 rule amendment. The 2010 regulationsstill apply until 2021, meaning that instructors could seek advancement until then. Nevertheless, in 2022, this need was removed.

Many instructors who were eligible for promotion after this were unable to apply. Because they did not finish their PhD, many instructors applied after 2022 and were promoted, but they were not eligible for enhanced pay and benefits for a period of one to two years.

Exemption given till December 2024

UGC has now granted them another reprieve till December 2024 in response to the teachers' petition. After accepting a promotion, candidates may reapply as of the day they become eligible. They'll be able to collect the unpaid pay and benefit liabilities as a result. It will benefit their professional life. Following this, DU released a notification with details on the third and fourth changes to the 2018 Acts of UGC.

Teachers should apply again

Teachers who meet the 2010 standards for promotion are invited to reapply or submit their applications. They are eligible to apply under the CAS or Career Advancement Scheme. Every department and college has a promotion committee that is responsible for reviewing applications and making decisions regarding promotions.

Dr. Harendra Tiwari, a member of the DU Academic Council, stated that more than 3500 appointments had been made at DU since the rules changed. The majority of these instructors have long experience providing ad hoc instruction. Within a few days of their hiring, they were qualified for promotion; but, since the 2010 rules had been removed and they had not finished their PhDs, they were unable to seek promotion. These educators will now have the opportunity to advance.

JOSAA Seat Allotment Result 2024 Round 5: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released final seat allocation results for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the NIT+ system. The JoSAA Seat Allocation (Round 5) Final Round was released on the official website today, July 17, 2024. The candidates who applied for JoSAA Round 5 seat allotment can check their results at josaa.nic.in.

The final round of seat allocation results will be released based on the available seats and the students' selections. Those who receive seat assignments must report to their designated institutions with the necessary documents by July 22, 2024, at 5 PM.

JOSAA Round 5 Seat Allotment Result 2024: How To Check

Step 1: Visit JoSAA Counselling website - josaa.nic.in.

Step 2: Select JoSAA round 5 seat allotment result

Step 3: Enter login credentials

Step 4: Check allocation letter and seat allocation result

Step 5: Download allotment result

After the results are announced, candidates must confirm their admission. As confirmation, the eligible candidates must pay their fees online and upload the required documents between July 17 and July 22. If candidates do not confirm their seat within this timeframe, the assigned seat will be cancelled.

NEET UG 2024 Counselling: The Union government informed the Supreme Court that the counselling dates for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) will be announced in the third week of July. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET UG counselling 2024 in four rounds, as stated in a new affidavit submitted along with the IIT Madras report on the medical entrance exam results.

In its affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court, which is hearing several petitions, including those seeking cancellation of the NEET-UG exam due to an alleged paper leak, the government stated that the candidature of any student found to have benefitted from malpractice will be cancelled at any stage during the counseling process or thereafter.

NEET UG 2024 Counselling Process

NEET-UG counselling allocates seats to successful candidates based on their exam scores. The Medical Counselling Committee, established under the health ministry, conducts counselling for all-India quota seats. State counselling committees handle counselling for state quota seats.

A candidate must fill out their preferred choices of medical colleges, and seats are allocated based on their scores. In its affidavit, the government stated that candidates are allowed to change seats according to their preferences during the first and second rounds of counselling. "So, if cancellation is done before the beginning of the third round, it will not have any impact on the overall counselling process and allocation of seats," the affidavit says.

The affidavit adds that the third round is expected to start in the second week of September. "If one's candidature is cancelled after the third round, vacant seats can still be offered in subsequent rounds. However, candidates who have already been allocated seats in earlier rounds will not be able to participate in subsequent rounds," the govt has said, as reported by Times of India.

This year, over 23 lakh students appeared for the NEET-UG exam, which was held on May 5. The results were declared on June 4. There are approximately 1.20 lakh undergraduate medical seats in government and private medical colleges across the country.

आजच्या धकाधकीच्या जीवनात विमा हा परवलीचा शब्द आहे. मग तो आरोग्यविमा असो किंवा अपघात, वाहने, दागिने अशा विविध प्रकारातही विमा संरक्षण आपल्याला मिळते, तसेच पैसे गुंतवणूक, निवृत्तीवेतन यासाठीदेखील विविध योजनांच्या जाहिराती दिसतात. मग या विम्याच्या, गुंतवणुकीच्या योजना कोण तयार करतं? ही आर्थिक जोखीम, आर्थिक परतवा, विमा प्रीमियम कोण ठरवतं? या योजना तयार करणाऱ्यांना विमाशास्त्रज्ञ (ॲक्चुरी) म्हणतात, तर या शास्त्राला विमाविज्ञान (ॲक्चुरिअल सायन्स) असं संबोधलं जातं. गणित व संख्याशास्त्राचा वापर करून योजना तयार होतात.

पात्रता

बारावी पास विद्यार्थी ACET म्हणजेच या अभ्यासक्रमासाठीची १०० गुणांची प्रवेश परीक्षा देऊ शकतो. त्यामध्ये सांख्यिकी, गणितविषयक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण होऊन अ‍ॅक्चुअरी सायन्स या अभ्यासक्रमासाठी प्राथमिक अर्हता प्राप्त करून घेऊ शकतो. अ‍ॅक्चुअरीज इंडिया या संस्थेची सभासदत्वाची परीक्षा आणि अनुभव यांच्या जोरावर विद्यार्थी अ‍ॅक्चुअरी सायन्स या शाखेचा पदवीधर होऊ शकतो. अभ्यासक्रम हा प्रामुख्याने इंग्रजी, गणित, सांख्यिकी, तर्कशास्त्र आणि डेटा इंटरप्रिटेशन या ५ विषयांभोवती फिरतो. विद्यार्थी दुसरी पदवी घेत हा अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण करू शकतात. अ‍ॅक्चुअरिअल नोकरी करतानासुद्धा अभ्यासक्रमाशी निगडित परीक्षा देत हा अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण करू शकतात. इतर पदवी परीक्षा देतदेखील हा अभ्यासक्रम पूर्ण करता येतो.

कोण करू शकतं?

ज्या विद्यार्थ्यांना गणितात गती आहे, आवड आहे, ज्यांची तार्किक बुद्धिमत्ता उत्तम आहे ते विद्यार्थी या क्षेत्रात उत्तम करिअर करू शकतात. भारतात केवळ ४५८ रजिस्टर्ड ‘अ‍ॅक्चुअरी आहेत (इंटरनेटवरील माहिती). एल. एस. वैद्यनाथन हे भारताचे पहिले विमाशास्त्रज्ञ होते. ‘आयएआय’ ही संस्था प्रशिक्षण देण्याचं काम करते.

कामाचे स्वरूप

‘अ‍ॅक्चुअरी’- म्हणजे असा गणितज्ज्ञ जो विमा पॉलिसीची किंमत, प्रीमियमचा दर, जोखीम व्यवस्थापन, गुंतवणूक व्यवस्थापन, लाभांशाची तजवीज याविषयीची भाकिते व्यक्त करतो. त्यानुसार कंपनीला प्रीमियमचा दर ठरवण्यास माहितीपूर्वक निर्णय घेण्यास सल्ला देतो, योजना तयार करतो.

अभ्यासक्रमाचे टप्पे

ॲक्चुरिअल सायन्स अभ्यासक्रम चार टप्प्यांमध्ये विभागलेला आहे. Core Practice, Core Principle, Specialised Practice, Specialised Application to become an actuary. सर्व मिळून एकूण १३ परीक्षा असतात. त्यापैकी १० परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण झाल्यावर ‘असोसिएट’ म्हणून नोकरी मिळू शकते. तसेच, तीन आणि सहा परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण झाल्यावरही नोकरी मिळू शकते. शिक्षणाच्या आणि नोकरीच्या संधी भारतात आणि ब्रिटनमध्ये जास्त आहेत. याविषयी अधिक माहिती एलआयसी कार्यालयात किंवा www.actuariesindia.org, www.actuaries.org.uk, www.casact.org, www.soa.org या संकेतस्थळांवर मिळेल.

JAC Delhi 2024: The Joint Admission Committee (JAC), Delhi has announced the seat allotment results for JAC Delhi 2024 round two. Students can check the results by visiting the official website, jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. Registered candidates can freeze seats for the round two JAC Delhi seat allotment process by July 9.

However, round three of counselling will start on July 13, round four on July 16, round five on July 23, and the spot round will be held on July 27.

Students preparing for defence exams such as NDA,CDS, AFCAT, MNS and SSB Interview often undergo stress. Feeling stressed is a natural process and in a literal manner, it evokes a sense of motivation within us to persevere for our goals. Everyone experiences stress. But in a fast-paced competitive world, students are the most affected ones who often get overwhelmed with physical, emotional, and psychological strains. It is completely natural for defence aspirants to experience stress. It indicates that they are putting in extra effort to achieve something they want or trying to cope with a difficult situation. There can be various reasons for a student being stressed. Anticipating outcomes, lacking concentration, and overthinking are major factors contributing to stress.

Stress management strategies for students preparing for defence exams like NDA, CDS, MNS, AFCAT.

Research shows that overly stressed students are more likely to develop low immunity and weaken their cognitive and emotional functioning. In fact, prolonged stress can even lead to other mental illnesses like depression. In such cases, adhering to stress management strategies can help overcome stress and lead a balanced life. During my SSB Interview sessions at Centurion Defence Academy, I counsel my students and teach them to follow the below strategies to prevail over stress. These stress management tips may take time to develop but they are helpful in the long run.

1. ENGAGE IN CREATIVE HOBBIES AND INTEREST

4. ⁠DECLUTTERING THE MIND

5. ⁠TRUST THE PROCESS (REMEMBER THAT THE RESULT IS NOT IN YOUR HAND BUT KARMA IS IN YOUR HAND)

1. Engage in creative hobbies and interests:

When studying for a long time, you may feel overburdened. It's important to take breaks and engage in activities that you enjoy. You can take up some creative hobbies like painting, writing, playing a musical instrument, or even gardening to relax your mind and body. Here effective time management skills become imperative to make the best use of your leisure time. For a defence aspirant aiming to become an officer in the Indian Armed Forces, hobbies and interests are part of the questioning during the personal interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB). Hence, these activities are not only helpful in stress management but also in getting ready for the SSB interview.

2. Spiritual growth:

Engaging in practices that promote spiritual growth, such as meditation, yoga, or mindfulness, can be beneficial for managing stress. Spiritual growth is not merely confined to developing a closer relationship with God. It is a gradual process of developing self-identity, recognizing your purpose in life, connecting with your inner self and finding peace. When you practice spiritual growth, you become more conscious of learning who you are and how much potential you have. These practices shed light on what's most meaningful in your life. This way, you can develop goal clarity, focus less on the non-essential things and do away with stress.

3. Goal clarity:

It's essential to have clear goals and a sense of purpose when preparing for defence exams. Knowing what you're working towards can help you stay motivated and focused. Take the time to clarify your goals and know what you want and why you want it. Having a clear roadmap will help minimize uncertainty and ambiguity, reduce stress and increase your chances of success. Goal clarity also helps overcome constant questioning and doubt and boosts your confidence.

4. Decluttering the mind:

Decluttering the mind means getting rid of a disordered, unpleasant and complicated state. In simple words, it is a process of clearing your mind of extraneous and overwhelming thoughts, anticipations, distractions and worries. It's about filtering your thoughts to create a sense of calm and clarity in your mind. A cluttered mind can make it difficult to concentrate on goals and increase feelings of stress and anxiety. To declutter your mind, try practicing mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing to eliminate negative thoughts and worries. Following this process, you can approach your defence exam preparation with a clear and focused mind.

5. Trust the process:

It's important to trust in yourself and the process of preparation. Understand that while you can control your efforts and actions, you can't always control the outcome. Focus on doing your best in the present moment and trust that your hard work will pay off in the long run. Always keep in mind that setbacks and failures are a natural part of your exam preparation journey. Thus, you should have the adeptness to use them as opportunities for growth and learning. By giving up excessive worry about the outcome, concentrating your energy on the present moment, and trusting in the process, you can overcome stress and achieve success.
