Maharashtra Government Announces Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for 2024-25
Pune, Maharashtra – The Maharashtra Government's Directorate of Higher Education has announced the commencement of the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for students pursuing higher education in Indian colleges and universities for the academic year 2024-25. This scheme is targeted at students who have excelled in their higher secondary examinations (Class 12) in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational streams from recognized boards.
According to the notification, students with high merit who are enrolled in recognized institutions across India are eligible to apply. The scholarship scheme is divided into two main categories: Fresh applications for new students and Renewal applications for existing beneficiaries.

Application Process:
Online Applications: Students must submit their applications online through the designated portals. Fresh applications and renewals must be completed via the official websites.
Offline Applications: Offline submissions are not accepted under this scheme. All applications need to be processed online.
Eligibility Criteria:
Fresh applicants must be students who have secured a position in the top 20th percentile of their respective boards (SSC, CBSE, ICSE).
Renewal applicants are students who have previously been awarded the scholarship and meet the continuing eligibility requirements.
Application Deadlines:
The final date for submitting both Fresh and Renewal applications is 31st October 2024.
Application Submission:
Students can fill out and submit their applications on the websites www.scholarships.gov.in and www.dhepune.gov.in.
Scholarship Disbursement:
The scholarships will be disbursed directly into the students' bank accounts under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
